The period between the 11th and 13th centuries in Finland is considered as the transition from the Late Iron Age, that is the Crusade period (1025-1150 AD), to the early medieval period.

Understanding of this period is mainly based on cemeteries which provide information about the material world, religion and society. In this paper the author will discuss how Christianity affected children's burial.
