Patrician and Aristocratic Town Residences in ‘s-Hertogenbosch c. 1250–c. 1550: The archaeological evidence

Financed by the municipality, systematic archaeological research has been carried out within the town of 's-Hertogenbosch and its hinterland since 1977. Preceding building activities, c. 120 large rescue excavations and more than 100 smaller observations and watching-briefs have been carried out. The choice of sites has been based upon an operational research programme. Within this research programme patrician and aristocratic town residences have been systematically recorded.
